Reviews are the main input to the rankings on this site, so we are careful about what gets published. Read the review guidelines before you start.

How a review gets published

  1. You submit the form. You declare what kind of transaction the review relates to. That declaration is published with the review.
  2. We verify your email. We send a link to the address you give. Your review does not move forward until you click it. Unverified reviews are never published and never count toward any ranking.
  3. A moderator checks it. We check it against the review guidelines. We are looking for guideline breaches, not for whether the review is positive or negative.
  4. It publishes, and the agent may respond. The agent can reply publicly. They cannot delete it.
Please do not submit a review if you have not worked with the agent. Reviews based on hearsay, competitor reviews and reviews written by anyone connected to the agent are removed when identified, and repeated attempts get the submitting address blocked.

Common questions

Do I have to use my real name?

We ask for your real name and email so we can verify that you are a real person and that you are not reviewing the same transaction twice. You choose the display name shown publicly on the review, and you may use a first name and last initial. We never publish your email address.

Why do you need me to declare the transaction type?

Every published review records whether it relates to buying, selling, both or leasing, and what kind of property was involved. It lets readers weigh a review properly, because an agent who is excellent for a first time condominium buyer may be the wrong fit for a detached listing. It also makes a fabricated review harder to write.

Can the agent have my review removed?

No. Agents cannot delete reviews. An agent can respond publicly, and they can dispute a review if they believe it breaches our published guidelines. If they do, we assess it against those guidelines. A review is not removed simply because the agent disagrees with it.

How long does publication take?

You will receive a verification email immediately. Once you click the link, your review enters the moderation queue and a moderator checks it against the review guidelines. Reviews that do not pass verification are never published.
